Its construction allows the HMS carabiner to move up the central channel which blocks the movement of the rope, effectively locking the rope in place in the event of a fall. The rope is easily freed from this position by pushing the device up in a 'scooping' motion. The Click Up allows for smooth and easy rope handling and is an incredibly safe belay device to use in the gym or at
