Matsuomyoujin Mask otafuku also known as Utagawa ToyokuniTraditional Wooden Japanese Matsuomyoujin Mask Description Matsuomyoujin (), the God of brewing and sake, appears in a famous Japanese legend where he helps Susanoo no Mikoto, the God of sea and storms, slay two giant snakes. This story is performed in a Kagura (Japanese play). Susanoo no Mikoto was told by Ashinazuchi and Tenazuchi (Shinto deities ) that two giant snakes ate two of their daughters and only had one left to live. Susanoonomikoto
