This years Parker’s Heritage Collection edition is rather special as Heaven Hill distillery have donated $20 from each bottle to help raise funds for the ALS Association

Brora distillery was located in north Highland town of same name

the first 4 years were spent in refill bourbon casks and the final 5 were matured in refill Gaja Barolo casks

the difference lies in the distillation method

The name Longmorn is said to derive from an old Scottish word meaning "place of the holy man"

Mackinlay's Shackleton Rare Old Highland Malt ABV (Strength)_55 This years Parker’s Heritage CollectionAn amazing recreation of the whisky that accompanied explorer Ernest Shackleton and his crew on their unsuccessful expedition to reach the South Pole. In 2010, five cases were dug up from the Antarctica, one of the malts was Mackinlays Highland Malt, a brand owned by Whyte & Mackay. Richard 'The Nose' Paterson was set to work to recreated this special find, faithfully reproducing the actual Mackinlays whisky taken from the ill fated expedition.
